Position Title: Sales Manager

Northern Radiator, a 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED COMPANY, is looking for a Sales Manager at our headquarters in Willmar, Minnesota. Hybrid work options may be available, however, some onsite work is required.

The Sales Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the sales process and sales staff of Northern Radiator to create consistent and profitable growth in sales. Maintaining and growing existing customers as well as expanding new customers and revenues efficiently and profitably based on the company’s goals and objectives.

Northern Radiator provides high-quality heating and cooling products for automotive, agricultural, truck, industrial and racing products. Northern Radiator has been in business for over 51 years. Our headquarters, manufacturing facility, and primary distribution facility is located in Willmar, Minnesota with 17 regional distribution centers located throughout the U.S.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Northern Regional Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Representatives, and hired Manufacturer’s Representatives implementing a cohesive plan for customer and prospect activities and sales.
  • Establish, communicate, and direct all sales team and Manufacturer’s Representatives’ objectives and sales goals to grow existing customer business and develop new customers.
  • Develop, examine, and oversee activities and performance of sales staff and outside Manufacturer’s Representatives to ensure sales goals are met. Assigns territories and sets individual sales targets for sales teams. Coach, motivate, and provide recognition for continued improvements and results.
  • Develop a continual plan by key products/industry to help promote and expose new and existing Northern products, services and competitive advantages to customers and prospects.
  • Understand, utilize, and promote internal CRM system for reporting, analyzing and marketing to customers.

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Sales Management experience. Background in the Automotive, Industrial, Agricultural, Truck or Mechanical parts and distribution industries preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills (mentoring, coaching, motivating) with a passion for sales. Ability to develop and build sales teams, monitor, and get results through others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Self-starter who can drive the sales process, negotiate agreements, present our company in a very competitive and professional manner with the ability to close sales.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle, possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • This position requires the ability to travel domestically and on occasion internationally. Travel may be up to 33% of the time.
