2021: Celebrating 50 years of serving you!

What a milestone to reach! Northern Radiator is proud to be celebrating 50 years in business in 2021! From our humble beginnings in a garage, Northern Radiator sought out to provide QUALITY heat transfer products at a fair price. In 1971, founder Evan Rohne searched hard for ways to have quality, reliable product on the shelf when his customers needed it. Fast forward 50 years, multiple relocations & expansions of headquarters, 19 locations throughout the US and today those same key philosophies are part of our mission and core values: to provide quality product and have inventory availability when & where you need it all with unsurpassed customer service!

In 1971 Northern’s product focus was on automotive heater cores, and replacement radiator cores and completes for the radiator repair industry. Changes in the industry in the mid-to-late ‘80s required Northern to focus on other items we could provide and industries we could serve. In 1987, Evan and his wife Darlene retired, selling the company to their two sons, Galen and Nathan, and another employee, Roger Gauquie. These three gentlemen worked endlessly to continue that pursuit of excellence in product offering, looking for ways to expand outside of the automotive aftermarket. Today, Northern Radiator is proud to be the leading aftermarket supplier of replacement heat transfer products in the Agricultural, Material Handling, Race & High Performance, Specialty/Industrial, and Truck & Bus industries while still serving the remaining radiator repair industry. Northern Radiator now operates in 18 states, with 5 large distributions centers and 14 regional warehouses strategically located to ensure availability and timely delivery of the products you need.

 

 

 

 

In 2014 Northern Radiator became 100% employee owned through the sale of the company to an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan). This means that our staff—from warehouse teams to sales & customer service, purchasing and research & development, to accounting and the executive team—ALL have a personal stake in OUR Company’s success. Our staff takes pride in their industry knowledge to best serve you, taking time to go above and beyond to ensure the correct products get to you safely. Our R&D and Purchasing teams work tirelessly to provide the best aftermarket product, and our Customer Service and Sales teams work diligently to educate you and your staff about our products, programs, and offerings.
